SOME CALL ME TIM

S A L T W A T E R
F I S H

The brilliant colors and graceful movement initially got my attention. I remember watching the fish at a friends house for hours mezmerized. Once I purchased my own tank, I soon realized that I was creating my own universe and have been hooked since.
My first piece of advice is to go big. I thought 55 gallons was large, but you have to realize the territory a fish takes in the wild is much larger. It's difficult for more than 3 fish to thrive in a 55 gallon tank. That has been my experience anyway. Do some research on compatibility. The coolest looking fish might not play nice together. Coral positioning is almost as fun as fish watching. Creating pathways for the fish to journey thru is pretty cool.
Secondly, be prepared to spend some money. I've got close to 3 grand in my 55 gallon. You're probably looking at 5 grand to do a 125 gallon tank. You can find some deals on used stuff. People tire of the hobby and there tanks are taking up space.
Once things are set up don't rush putting the fish in. It takes a little time to get the water quality right. After the tank is set up, it's fairly low maintaince. They can go for several days without eating.
It's kind of challenging but its a great way to unwind after a stressful day. I recomend it to anyone that digs the sea. It's nice to have a taste of the ocean right in your own home.
enjoy

THE TOY COLLECTION

I got my first G.I. JOE as a Christmas gift in the 60's. Unfortuantly, I don't have the original boxes for the joe's but I do have the boxes for the headquarters and the Fate of the Trouble Shooter. The item I would most like to get my hands on is the space capsule.
I have the talking commander from the Adventure Team. He's in working order. I've got several of the kung fu grip dudes. Some of their fingers are torn, but still intact. None of the stuff is in perfect condition, but none of them are missing arms or legs either.
They just don't make toys like they use to. I've purchased some of the newer Joe's, this time I'm keeping the boxes.
If any other collectors stumble onto this site don't hesitate to contact me about possible trades or with info on the going rate for the stuff. I have know desire to sell off my collection though.
